Wokey I'm back on track. Went to Paris for weekend break!!!

Jumaat 18/7/08

Sampai terminal 1 Charles de Gaulle airport dah nak dekat pukul 8 lebih. Airport dia buruk siot. Naik train to terminal 3. From there, naik RER (macam komuter) to Gare du Nord (macam KL sentral). Ticket lebih kurang 8-9 euro per person. So from Gare du Nord tu kitorang switch train Metro (macam LRT) to Porte de Clignancourt. Metro dia kelakar sebab ada tayar kuang kuang kuang

Point bagus pasal train system dia:

• Within Paris city, bleh pakai tiket sama untuk both Metro and RER. So tak payah nak exit RER pastu kena beli tiket baru untuk Metro plak, vice versa, as long as you travel within paris. Tapi kalau nak keluar Paris you have to take RER only. Metro hanya dalam Paris city

• Metro dia je ade 13 lines, RER ade 4 lines. Memang senang gile nak travel naik train je gi semua tempat including airport and disneyland.

• Bagusnya kat Paris ni ada 3-4 one-stop central, compare dengan kita ade KL sentral sebijik je where everyone knows so damn crowded. So memang sangat senang nak switch trains dekat point mana2 sebab tak busy, thus the train itself is not always packed macam sardin.

Ok memandangkan Metro tu betul2 depan hotel (Hotel de la Terasse), so selamatlah sampai lebih kurang pukul 10.  Nak makan KFC tapi dah nak dekat tutup, plus kitorang bengang dengan satu minah cashier hitam legam gile kerek nak mampos, racist kot :P (aku pun racist jugak muahahaha).

So kitorang pun pegi la makan kebab since there were loads of kedai halal dekat area hotel. Aku rasa sebab area tu dah dekat hujung Paris, so ramai orang2 Islam tinggal kat sini compare dengan area tengah2 city. Lepas makan, balik hotel semayang mandi tido.

Bangun pagi- gosok gigi -breakfast maggi (rhyme tu hahah)

The whole Saturday was fully allocated for DISNEYLAND!!!!
We bought online tickets in advance-> 1-day Hopper for 2 parks (Disneyland Park + Walt Disney Studios) at 365tickets.com. In fact, beli online jauh lagi murah compare ngan beli tiket from its booth or even official website. Plus you can avoid the hassle and long que, or the unexpected possibility of sold out.

Naik RER direct to Disneyland which costs around ~13 euro for both.







Kitorang masuk Disneyland Park dulu. Aku tak reti nak cite panjang, so tengok gambar pun ok la ye, as the saying goes 'a picture is worth a thousand words'

Ada 4 main lands:

• Frontierland- best gile, Phantom Manor (haunted mansion). Big Thunder Mountain (roller coaster), shooting gallery, riverboat etc

• Adventureland- best gile jugak, Indiana Jones Temple (roller coaster), Adventure Isle, Pirates of Caribbean, etc

• Fantasyland- tempat main budak2 kecik (merry-go-round, etc) best untuk budak2 kecik yang mungkin takkan ingat pun dia pernah main kat disneyland unless mak bapak dia cakap muahahahah

• Discoveryland- ni paling best, ade Buzz lightyear Laserblast, Star Wars simulation, Videopolis (movie show), Space mountain (roller coaster yang ganas gile dalam gelap tak nampak ape)

Azam pulak happy gile cam budak kecik nampak robot STAR WARS/TRANSFORMERS collector's item, ending up beli bukan satu, tapi 2 bijik. Alasan dia:
'Uish tak penah lagi nampak robot Obi Wan Kenobi/ Darth Vader/ Jedi cum TRANSFORMERS nih!!!'

Moving to Walt Disney Studios, ni best gile jugak tapi tak sempat nak masuk semua tempat sebab tutup awal.





 
Kitorang naik tram tour tengok some 'leftovers' from blockbuster movies cam pearl harbour, jurassic park, 101 dalmations, armageddon, etc etc, and also a simulation of real special effect camne lori nak terjatuh, tiba2 ada air hujan and lori tu meletup terbakar, ntah tak reti nak describe camne, watch my videos

One amazing thing for sure, a really big set-up was created for that particular scene in which we wud probably see for only a few seconds in the movie.

Lastly before heading back to our hotel, kitorang sempat tengok ONCE UPON A DREAM PARADE by all disney characters. Disebabkan aku tak berapa tinggi (tanak ngaku pendek) so aku terpaksa panjat itu ini sebab tak nampak.







Tersengih2 macam kerang busuk bila nampak Cinderella, Mickey, Mary Poppins, etc. Sungguh memalukan, nasib baik la takde orang yang kenal aku dekat situ muuaahahahaha

Sampai hotel lebih kurang pukul 9 malam. Memandangkan kempunan tak dapat makan KFC, aku pegi la beratur sekali lagi. But this time, aku order kat minah French lawa gile instead of minat hitam buruk kerek tu. Baik je minah ni, cuma problem dia cakap French. So aku order je la ikut set, senang cite, lantas aku mulakan aksi angguk angguk geleng geleng hahahahah tak paham mende, macam ayam cakap ngan itik.

Hohoho Best gile. Best gile. Best gile.

To Eiffel Tower first. Tak naik atas pun sebab in rush. Aku masih tak paham ape mende la yang orang cakap konon2 Paris ni romantik. Cantik memang la cantik, but romantic? It's a made-up thing, tipu semua tu!



Engineering-wise--> superb (according to Azam).
Other than that? Nahh. Romantik mende, aku rasa Istanbul far more romantic.



Next we went to Lourve, nak amik syarat Da Vinci Code la konon. Ni pun lagi satu, museum dia penuh dengan barangan curi from all over the world. Yang memang diorang punya agaknya sculptures kot. Even the paintings themselves belong to the Italians!



The only thing worth going for is Mona Lisa. Nak tengok Mona Lisa tu sendiri pun seksa gile kene berhimpit2 "excuse me, excuse me" sambil tepis kiri kanan buat macam budak kampung sesat muahahahahah




Bila sampai airport tgh lapar gile, beli tuna sandwich + pepsi for two= 18 euro??? Shoot. Apa lagi, bayar la cukup2 gune duit syiling sepenuhnya hehehheh dah nak balik malas nak cucuk duit.

In summary:

• Paris city taklah sehebat mana, lebih kurang taraf debat stroberi air liur basi je dan assistant penciplak tesis (perasan bagus tapi reality macam tut)
  

• Lagi satu, susah gile nak tengok pompuan bertudung kat sini. Sedihnya, even if there were women with hijab, they had to be old Muslim beggars tengah mintak sedekah. Sedih and kesian gile. Apart from that, kitorang banyak kali dapat greetings from Muslims who seemed really happy to have seen us and eager to offer help. Bagus la sebab diorang very friendly, due to the fact that it's really hard to see women who covered their heads and Muslims tourists
  

• Kalau nak gi Paris, pegi la Disneyland sekali. Tak payah la mengharapkan romantika Paris city tu, semua exaggerated

Kabily Pilau

Kabily Pilau- recipe from Pakistan, somewhat similar to nasi beriani and kurma. Normally restaurants around here prefer mutton over chicken. Resepi die senang saje, tambah air dan nasi, again aku guna perencah ready-made muahahaha

Liwat meliwat... lately

Sodomy-  one of da most undeniably popular headlines one can see these days. Liwat meliwat ni dah jadi cam perkataan biasa. Dulu masa kecik I've never heard of that, but when Anwar's case became the limelight back in 1998 and again now after 10 years of time, aku baru tau apa itu sodomy i.e. ikut jalan belakang. Gay lesbian transvestites semua dah jadi common issues. Kat sini siap ade annual gay parade and the thing's gained acceptance by the community.

Isu yang menarik, which led me to wandering around the net googling 'Saiful Bukhari' instead of working on my report. Lots of gossips and theories bout this liwat stuff, some believe and some do not. Apa2pun, yang paling best sekali bile aku jumpa friendster si mamat hensem ni sendiri. Though couldn't access for his profile's been resctricted to public, still aku gelak guling2 tengok shoutout dia->

Frozen maggots

Masuk hari ni dah lebih seminggu aku ngadap komputer buat transfer report aku yang kena submit next month. Pastu ade viva lak- mati la aku kalo takleh jawab soalan ntah hape2 (aku memang suke merapu buat2 konfiden time Q&A session). Masalahnya sekarang ni, asal time nak buat keje je, mesti tangan aku gatal nak surf internet, tengok youtube, online videos, family guy, baca online newspapers-gossips-blogs, window shopping kat ebay etc etc etc banyak aktiviti yang sungguh tempting. Camne nak fokus??? Ni belum ade anak lagi, kalau tak aku takleh imagine....

Ok stop merapu, hari ni nak cite pasal frozen maggots. Alkisahnya, suamiku yang terchenta tengah keje jadi cleaner kat university hall, spending precious hours of his summer break earning lotsa money (which he also did previously, even before we met, bukan aku paksa ok :) This time dia in charge bahagian dapur. Selama dia keje ni, semalam adalah pertama kali dia jumpa maggots, not alive but actually frozen maggots. Bau busuk gile nak mampos takyah cakap la, yang peliknya makhluk mana la yang pegi freeze maggots tu dalam freezer?

Apparently, ade la sorang budak ni pegi tutup suis freezer tu before dia balik cuti summer tapi tak check dulu kat dalam tu ade daging ke, ape ke, genius betul budak tu. Lantas membiak la ulat2 tu dengan happynya dalam freezer. Bau harum semerbak bukan setakat dalam dapur tu je, tapi satu flat! Then sorang budak lain dengan baik hatinya pegi bukak suis tu balik, tapi walaupun baik hati dia tak cuci pun freezer tu. Thanks to that mysterious cum genius  guy, meninggal dunia la ulat2 itu dalam keadaan terketar2 kesejukan- jadi la frozen maggots.

Kesimpulannnya, jangan jadi pengotor- kalau tak, takde orang nak kawan ngan kau (aku rasa la).

Tom Cruise and his weird Scientology 'religion'- best spoof ever

I've always been amused by those gifted people who happen to be really good at impersonating others, be it famous celebrities, politicians or other somebody. Nonetheless, pretty rare you can see people who really got the look, I mean he or she really looks like the one he's spoofing on. And this one guy, name's Miles Fisher- a Harvard graduate, literally did an almost-perfect imitation of Tom Cruise! Damn good one I got goosebumps all over me! I couldn't stop laughing the first time I watched it months ago, and even now I still do. Bodoh betul la Tom Cruise ni, nasib baik hensem...

Scones, first time bebeh

Aku try buat telur separuh masak untuk breakfast, tapi mesti terlajak masak penuh jadi telur orang kawen lak sebab tak pandai nak estimate masa dan air (memalukan betul). Anyway, try buat scones and nasib baik la menjadi. Resepi dia- tambah susu sahaja hehehe ready-made from Asda. Rupa memang hancur, aku takde pastry cutter. Tapi rasa boleh tahan (puji diri sendiri), most importantly don't overwork when bringing the dough together, nanti jadi keras. Ok, jap lagi nak gi tengok Hancock kat wayang, mintak2 la takde orang buat kacau pulak.  Amin.

Along the coastal path

Anglesey is the largest island in England and Wales, famous for its historic sites and coastline. We went there with the International Society group, and it's a fully guided tour day trip. Stunning sceneries, breathtaking English coastal views, but still I think our islands are more winsome.

Terperangkap dalam rumah

Rumah aku ade 2 bilik kat tingkat atas, satu master bedroom and lagi satu guestroom. Memandangkan aku dan laki aku sama2 pemalas, so kitorang letak la TV dalam guestroom tu  so that tak payah naik turun tangga bila nak tengok TV. Baru2 ni masa final Euro Azam ajak kawan2 dia datang tengok ramai2 kat rumah kitorang. Before tu, aku paksa dia baiki pintu bilik tu yang memang dah nazak nak tercabut. Dengan penuh semangat dia pun baiki la pintu tu, siap aku jadi assistant kat sebelah dan akhirnya berjaya. Tapi lepas tu, aku pun memandai2 pegi ketuk situ sket, ketuk sini sket, dengan penuh confident aku tutup la pintu tu----> TAKLEH BUKAK!!! Drill, tools semua kat luar and kitorang stucked dalam bilik tu, no phone, keys, anything good whatsoever. Nak kluar ikut tingkap takleh sbb sde grill. Buat beberapa minit aku dgn Azam pun panik dok pikir macam2 sambil tendang/tarik/tolak/membebel kat tuan rumah yang tak baiki pintu tu etc etc. Aku plan nak meraung dekat tingkap bilik tu panggil orang lalu lalang kat luar rumah, Azam pikir nak bakar baju kasi signal (sambil marah aku dengan garangnya hehehe). Nasib baik la lepas aku tarik kuat gile sambil goncang2 pintu tu cam orang gile terbukaklah akhirnya. NASIB BAIK....
Fuuhh kebangangan yang amat. Sorry ye bangggg, tobat tanak buat dah hehehehe
